Our story about how we get to design such a game:
We are known for enjoying games. With Game of Ur we fell in love and designed our own version. The story is, that it is one of the oldest game in the world. I even heard it is the oldest game that we know rules to. Funny story why no one really knows it, is because the game was forgotten and no one knew how to play it again. People found many archaeological parts of it. The oldest is almost 5000 years old. And once, not so long ago, actually a professor from the British Museum store found a stone deck that explains the rules to the game. So people had the game and the rules they just didn't know it belonged together. He realised it and now it's becoming a thing again. But very slowly. Fascinating story. And we love the fact that we can be part of the rediscovery of the game. The rules are very simple, almost primitive, but in a good way. You can feel why the game was playing for so long. You play with dice so there is also a chance included and we read that when people played it back in the time they believed the game was telling something about the players destiny. A conversation with gods if you like.
We are producing this game on our own, the board is made out of thick MDF, which is cut with CNC and UV printed. The dice are made by us out of resin. The box itself is the game! The simplified rules are written in english on the box inside, but you can find the complex rules among the listing fotos.
