Waxed canvas and store Wool Totebag with leather straps & leather top rim

This tote bag is made from a light brown waxed canvas material on bottom and a mesquite green colored eco-wool flannel made by Pendleton® for the top portion. The straps are leather and there is a leather rim around the top which helps hold the shape & provides sturdiness to the tote. I cut the leather pieces and then hand dye them with brown leather dye. The bottom piece is box-bottomed in shape, so it gives quite a bit of depth to the tote, allowing you to hold more things in it. This tote also features a brass clasp & leather strap at the top for store the closure. The two leather tote straps are attached with sturdy rivets to the top-sides of the tote. The straps are approximately 25" in length (drop length is 11.5"). This is what I consider a medium-sized tote, but still allows you to carry lots of stuff for your weekend getaway, and doing it with a classy style!

Each piece is hand-dyed using a rich leather dye which gives the piece an antique and warm look. It also allows for the natural grain of the leather to come through, where grain variations absorb the stain differently across even a small cut piece. I finish it with a light coat of a leather finish for protection from the elements, which also keeps the leather supple and rich.
