Beautifully worn silk ballerina's from the Orient in a turquoise blue colour dating from the beginning of the 20th century, I think the 1930's. Made from beautiful embroidered silk with silk bows in pink, beiges and blue applied at the toes which used to have some beads on them as well. These have mostly worn off. At the front of the shoes the silk also has been worn threadbare, the rest of the shoes it is still pretty strong. The edges of these ballerina's are finished with a lovely watered silk trim in pink and cream. They have leather flat soles and are lined with calico. Very boudoir and decorative.
Size: 23 cm length.
Condition: The silk is worn in places particularly at the toes and there store is fading and there are a few stains. This aside, they are still strong and a wonderful find.
