STORY:
These two medium size prints is part of my ongoing series of work exploring the wildlife in its natural habitat. The two prints make up a diptych and are meant to be displayed together. They can be framed in one large frame with 2 window mat cut out, or each piece can be framed separately.

Intaglio etching is a very traditional and process-intensive form of printmaking, dating back to Renaissance and beyond. I employ many techniques to etch my ideas onto a copper plate, from line work to textural elements. The final results are subtle but richly textured images that are unlike any other medium.

MATERIALS:
To make the crow art prints I've incorporated traditional intaglio techniques of mezzotint, aquatint, and nitric acid bath etching, along with lots of scraping and burnishing. I've used oil-based etching inks, and printed on ivory acid-free 100% cotton rag paper, by hand-pulling American French Tool press. The colors of etching ink I've used are various shades of settled browns.

SHIPPING:
The crow art prints will be shipped to you in an archival protective sleeve with stiff backing for support.

NOTE:
Each single edition print is prepared and printed separately, by re-inking the plate by hand. This technique results in slight colour and texture variation in between the prints. The crow arts print which you will receive may slightly vary in shade and texture pattern from the picture listing. Also note, that all monitors and computer screens are calibrated differently. The same product may appear in diverse colors on different monitors.
