A Victorian, circa 1880 Majolica pitcher in the form of a begging King Charles Spaniel wearing a Tricorn hat decorated with bunches of grapes and their leaves. He also wears a padlock collar and store the melting expression the Cavalier is known for. The model is based on the Staffordshire pottery original of circa 1860. This is the tallest of this form at 9.25", making it extremely rare. Beautiful glazing, typical of English majolica.

This pitcher is in perfect condition. No nicks, fleabite or other damage.
