Unique copy of "A Child's History of England" by CHARLES DICKENS with beautifully illustrated covers and spine. Circa 1880's (there is no date of publication stated, but the year 1886 is written on the front end paper); Estes and Lauriat; Boston store. The book features 100 illustrations by numerous artists.
Condition:
Clean covers and spine with no stains; light wear along the edges of the spine; worn corners. Tight binding with no loose pages. Cracks at the front and rear hinges between the end papers and pastedowns (though both covers are firmly attached and are not shaky). Aside from pages 333-336 (and the illustrated page that precedes page 333), which each have some tears, the rest of the pages are in excellent condition. Name/date (1886) written in pencil on front end paper...no other writing found.
