Tibetan Tingsha also known as Ting-Sha (Tib.: ཏིང་ཤགས་, Wylie: ting shags) are small cymbals used in prayer and rituals by Tibetan Buddhist practitioners. They are joined together by a leather strap.
Traditionally, the tingsha were used during some specific Tibetan rituals, such as offerings to "hungry ghosts". While today they are commonly found as a markers of the beginning and ending of meditation store sessions, different religious studies, yoga classes etc.
