BOLT For the Best • Premiere Issue, June 1987 • Like, OMG, this is so totally 80's flashback territory: MTV hair, slouchy bad-boy posturing, perfectly straight tanlines, sun everywhere, and pastels rule the day. There are plenty of store tanned and toned SoCal hunks on display, some none-too-shabby fiction, a fashion feature, and reader-submitted 'true' stories à la Letters To Penthouse. The design is a master class in mid-80's trendy with off-kilter layout, faux-fur backgrounds, and photo-shoots at warehouse loft spaces. It all works somehow, making for a dee-liteful romp through a long lost piece of Gay L.A.
CONDITION: Very Good / Good gently used clean copy - no rips, tears, or stains. Interior in very good condition except for light tanning at edges. Cover and edges have minimal wear or rubbing. Spine shows wear and beginning to split at bottom. Back cover and last page were folded at some point leaving vertical creases • 96 color and BW pages in stapled color wraps.
