Swedish studio pottery. Flowergirl Mid century modern. 1960s ceramic by Cay Cedergren From the ceramic studio on the isle of Hven. A lovely Figuring called Backafallsflickan. Her dress decorated with white and pink stribes
Cay Ture Nils Anton Cedergren (1913 - 1977) a very skilled swedish ceramist educated in Denmark and living most of his life at Hven. (Thyco Brage observatory) Cay's works was often large and heavy dishes in Chamotte clay. Amongst the more popular items was his Flowergirls; 'Ellen' and 'flikan fran Backafall'
