Antique Vintage Signed Victorian Sterling Silver Seed Pearl store Opal Honeymoon Crescent Moon Flower Pin Brooch
This is a delightful small opal and seed pearl pin. Sometimes called "Honeymoon" pins, small crescent moons such as this were wildly popular in the early 1900's. The moon and flower pins were given by grooms to their new brides on their wedding day. The store flower represents the "honey" and the crescent is the "moon". All the seed pearls are present and the center opal is full of fire, with wonderful blues and pinks. The pin is signed JJS. It has the standard c-clasp pin back. The pin fits securely in the clasp. It could be cleaned with a silver cloth but I always leave that to the new owner. Everyone has their own preference on patina. The pin is about 1" in diameter. This is truly a lovely pin that I know you'll treasure.
