I have a Mailbox metal 2 store openings Vintage item. I would estimate it dates somewhere between 1920 - 1950 or so. I do not know if this type of box would be allowed by the USPS for actual use. It measures about 13 1/4 (from the bottom of the newspaper holder to the top of the box) " in length x 5 5/8" in width x about 2 1/4" in d. It has 2 opening's, a smaller one at the top (4" w x 5/8" in l) and then a larger one below . The larger door on the bottom appears like it has a spot to install a keyed lock (the hole on the left) and a hole in the center bottom for a name plate. "Mail" is written across the top. It has a moderate amount of overall rust on it - it appears as though someone sanded the outside to get it ready for paint. The inside still has chipping paint (this could be lead paint so please use care). I would say it is in fair to good condition.
