Set "Mist over Heathland", 3 skeins variegated Bluefaced Leicester yarn, store hand-dyed, BFL

Set of three color coordinated British BFL yarn skeins in yarn weight 3 / DK with a slight shimmer and great spring.

The yarn is an all-rounder. This yarn weight can be used to knit almost anything from thicker socks, hats, scarves and shawls to cardigans or sweaters. The yarn is dyed by hand. Different shades of the main color show up when knitting. In the variegated skein, the main color is complemented by areas in a contrasting color.


BLUEFACED LEICESTER (BFL)
This yarn uses 100% Bluefaced Leicester wool from sheep raised in the store United Kingdom (England), where it is directly spun into yarn. The Bluefaced Leicester breed of sheep is known for producing some of the finest British yarns – it is wonderfully soft (26 microns) and has a characteristic silky sheen, making it wonderful to work with.

GENERAL NOTES
Each skein of Heathland Knits' yarn is either kettle dyed by hand or hand painted in small batches. This means that each skein is unique in itself and there are no color batches / dye lots. Two skeins of one color will therefore always differ slightly, but the general color composition is the same. When working with more than one strand, it is recommended to alternate the individual skeins.

We recommend hand washing with a mild wool detergent for hand-dyed yarns. Colors may still "bleed" during the first few washes. Especially dark colors are best washed separately or tested on a swatch beforehand. Intensive rubbing and wringing should be avoided. Instead, gently squeeze the water out of the finished piece with your hands and then roll it up a clean towel. The towel will absorb the excess moisture. It is best to lay flat or block to dry.

Wool is a natural product. During the production of the yarn, the fibers of the wool are twisted into threads. It can happen that there are still residues of plants in the yarn or in rare cases individual fibers stick out of the yarn.
