Hand woven, hand spun peach to lemon Leno weave scarf

All of the yarn used for this scarf was hand spun on my Louet spinning wheel, then hand store woven on my rigid heddle loom. The yarn is spun from a blend of Merino/bamboo roving. It is a beautiful color gradient ranging from peach to lemon color. White cotton yarn was used for the warp, which runs the length of this scarf. The Merino/bamboo yarn was used for the weft, which runs side to side. I used a Leno weaving pattern, in which warp yarns are twisted around the weft yarn, to create this scarf. (Warp yarn runs lengthwise, weft yarns run across the width.)

This scarf will keep you warm and cozy throughout the winter months.

This item was created in my home studio in Bucks County, PA.

Care:
This item can hand washed in cold water. Dry flat.


The fringe was twisted by hand to add a finishing touch.
