store This couple are very attractive with their draped clothing , attractive profiles and curly hair. They are made of chalkware by the Alexander Backer Company which produced statuary from the 2949's through the 1960's, making these figures at least 60 years old. They are heavy enough to hold books up or can be used as figures against a wall. They have flat backs so they can stand alone in some circumstances. The chalkware has a black finish with a gold band on the pedestal with a grey wash providing highlighting for the details. They are 10 inches in height and are 4.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches wide.
