Very large hotel silver serving tray from the Pennsylvania Hotel, New York City and associated with Railroad travel. Early 20th Century design for serving fish for hotel guests. Architectural design borders with Art Deco design. Wonderful and rare hotel fish serving tray by Reed & Barton Silversmiths. Heavy silverplate designed for commercial hotel service. Pennsylvania Hotel crest is on front.
Vintage hand polished surface on front with a silverplate patina. Normal signs of hotel service. The front has heavy utensil marks in the center from hotel use. Back has tarnish and scratches. This is authentic antique patina, commensurate with age. Fine for entertaining and buffet display.
Measures an amazing 23 1/5 inches in length by 12 inches across. Wonderful for small party bites and special occasion oeuvres.
