Product code: Store La Sevillana Naranjada
On a store recent trip to Seville, Spain, I was inspired by the beautiful 'mantones de Manila' (aka Manila shawls), and made the first of my shawls on the plane home with some guidance and yarn from a little shop in El Mercado de Triana called Milanabonita. Since then, I have experimented with colors, sizes, edging stitches, and yarn types.
I like these because they are versatile. I wear mine more as a scarf, but it looks lovely as a Spanish style shawl wide over the shoulders and secured with a brooch.
The yarn here is chunky, cream-colored wool with variegated nylon orange-fuschia-magenta ribbon. It's especially beautiful in person.
Note: I have two dogs in my house, but they don't come near my crafts.
