SOUTHWEST POTTERY: Micaceous Clay store Raven

store This micaceous clay raven is much smaller than those we see in Taos. They are 22”-27” while this one is just 7.5” long. He's also much quieter and less bothersome.

He is made of clay that comes from ancient clay pits in the nearby Sangre de Christo Mountains and mounted on a cedar (juniper) log that is 14.5” long. The height of the entire piece is 11.5”. He also has genuine turquoise stones in his eyes.
