Set of two vintage Horse Brasses on a leather strap with a unique scalloped brass buckle.

Used for decoration of horse harness gear, especially for shire and parade horses. They became especially popular in England from the mid-19th century until their general decline alongside the use of the draft horse, and remain a collector's item today.

Each horse brass is attached with a leather strap. There is a brass button on the leather behind the top horse brass. The brass buckle has a wonderful scalloped design.

Found at a large estate of a horse lover.

Selling as found in very vintage condition...You might want to polish the leather and the brasses...I have left that for you to decide. The leather appears to be very old. Please see all the photos.
