At Fault, Antique Spirit Kettle, Teapot on Stand, Worn Silver Plate, Art Nouveau, Antique Presentation, Hamilton & Inches, store Elegant Teapot

On offer is this lovely antique presentation spirit kettle / teapot on stand. It's in good condition overall, the remaining silver plate shines up well still - extensive ware however over the kettle exposing the base nickel silver (brassy tone); there's also an old solder repair around the top join seam of the spout where it meets the body (please refer to images) as well as a few shallow dimples and light scuffs and scratches commensurate with age but as shown all adding to the aged charm and character of the piece.

It's of traditional Art Nouveau form, plain in design yet so elegant in appearance. One side has been engraved with "HAJ & DMJ, 1882-1907" and would've been presented as a 25th wedding store anniversary gift.

The interior is clean still however there are a number of stubborn stained specs and light ware over the base.

The fixed handle retains original wooden top and the original lid finial is also present.

It comes presented on its original silver plated stand and the burner is also present - ** Please note there would've been a slender lever handle to lift the top up **.

The kettle is marked on the underside for Hamilton and Inches of Edinburgh, Scotland.

It measures 21cm (8 and 1/4 inches) in outer length to the end of the spout, 15.2cm (6 inches) in outer diameter at widest area and 28cm (11 inches) in total height including the stand.

A lovely period antique which despite the condition issues raised is ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
