A First Edition and First UK Printing of this Reprint from the Spectator. A beautifully illustrated story. Bound in a bright blue wrapper with bright gold gilt title and decorations on the front cover. Measuring approximately 8.5” tall by 6.5” wide. Containing 82 printed pages, with gorgeous illustrations on nearly every page.

In exceptional condition, especially considering it's age of 135+ years old. The boards are strong. The binding is tight and secure. The title on the spine has faded a bit. The corners are sharp. The pages are clean, and free of any markings, other than an inscription on a blank page in the front of the book. The illustrations are bright and clean. This is a stunning copy of this lovely historic English story. It would make an excellent addition to any book lover's shelf.
