Tissus des Soieries Tête d'Or, Original 1925 Pochoir Les Idèes Nouvelles, Art Deco French Fashion Print store
"Tissus des Soieries Tête d'Or." Rare antique French pochoir showing fashion styles found at the Tête d'Or park in Lyon, store France. Plate 12 from Issue No. 6 of J.P. Joumard's "Les Idèes Nouvelles de la Mode" published in Paris, 1925. The pochoir process was a labor intensive technique of producing prints using stencils to apply to the different colors by hand. The plates from "Les Idèes Nouvelles" were produced on Chinese paper that was tipped-in against a light card stock. The hand pochoir color is dramatic against the light brown paper. It is an original pochoir, not a modern reproduction.
