The Ankh, also known as the key to life and Ansata Cross, is an ancient symbol sacred to the Egyptians that essentially symbolizes life. The gods are often depicted with an Ankh, in hand. As hieroglyphs, the Ankh, in store addition to meaning "life", represents the mystical union between heaven and earth, or the contact between the divine and the human world and the Union of the two generative principles of existence. The name "Key of Life", as well as a reminder of the form of the symbol itself, indicates the regeneration and resurgence in the affirmation of its independence "to have the keys, and therefore the control of one's life".
