Store Buffalo Dance, San Juan Pueblo, New Mexico

I was a teacher at St. Catherine Indian store School in Santa Fe. Several of our students were from San Juan Pueblo (and the other 18 Pueblos too). We were allowed to take photographs of this dance (some pueblos do not permit photography). It was customary to be invited to the homes of our students. We were expected to eat something, but since we were probably going to visit several homes, no one expected you to eat very much.
