Edwardian/Art Deco Pin Box Blue and Gold Circa 1920s
This box would qualify as being in excellent condition were it not for a bit of wonkiness where the top of the box meets the bottom so I consider it in good vintage condition. The colors are vibrant both in and out and the printed information on the interior lid is clearly visible. It reads “VANECEK'S store JEWELRY AND IMPORT ART SHOPPE 5824 BROADWAY CLEVELAND, 0,”. The back is marked “Farrington Boxes Pat.”
When I researched the shop I found advertisements for it in the AMERICKE DELNICKE LISTY (American Labor News) an independent Czech newspaper that ran from 1908 into the 1950s. The ads were run in the June 9th, 1922 and the May 30, 1924 editions.
What I consider good vintage condition may be different from your standards so please look carefully at the pictures particularly the macro pictures and feel free to ask me questions.
