This is a fabulous quality of an antique beaded necklace with gutta percha beads with brass inbetween pieces and tiny round black jet beads

Gutta percha is an organic substance derived from tropical trees,used in jewelry, especially mourning jewelry in the mid to late 1800's.

All these details add a wonderful and very special touch to this detailed mourning necklace!

As it is a long necklace, you can wear it in different ways as shown on the mannequin

Total length from 1 end to the other end is 22.8 inches (57cm) long

Much prettier in reality than on the pictures, believe me!!

In a good condition, as shown on the pictures; some missing tiny beads, some loose threads, a repairspot on a thread, 1 bead has a small chip, this does not detract from the beauty of this gorgeous long necklace
