"American Heritage" is a landscape painting of a ranch house in Colorado. It represents the hard work of the American farmer and rancher. It also depicts a home that has been in the family since it was built. This family farm was someone's dream generations ago, and the dream has been carried on.
This late summer, fine art oil painting is heavily textured and brightly colored, with contrasting greens, golds and orange.
I painted it in late summer when the last cutting of hay was baled and drying in the bright sunlight.
