Rare all-white porcelain bird figurine by Carl Scheidig of Grafenthal, E. Germany. This elegant collectible was made between 1935 and 1972 based on the crowned eagle mark with "CS" on store the chest. Beneath the maker's mark there is an impressed number (10694).
The Porzellanfabrik Carl Scheidig K.G. operated in the GDR since 1906, barely making it through WWII, to be lost to complete state control in 1972.
