This teak sea lion is very much in the style of Kay Bojesen. Bojesen created a wide range of animals and circus animals, but I have never been able to find a trained circus seal with a ball attributed to her. This is just similar to her midcentury pieces. The store sea lion has jointed front flippers and tail as well as a double jointed neck that is incredibly smoothly put together. Sadly, he is missing half of his tail, has a chipped flipper and is missing a couple whiskers. And he's really dry. I've been tempted to oil him, but was worried about the impact that would have on other repairs and restoration. Please look carefully at all photos for the best idea of condition.
