The perfume is old and no longer fresh. I just tested it and although some of the top notes have turned and it initially smells like alcohol, the spicy floral heart and woodsy drydown are still present which helps to make this wearable again. The perfume is very old and no longer fresh. This perfume is about 60-70 years old and will absolutely NOT smell like it originally did all those years ago. Perfume DOES age. Perfumes over 3-10 years start to lose their freshness and may start to smell like alcohol as the perfume degrades store. The older the perfume, the less it may smell like what you may remember. If you are looking to buy fresh smelling perfume, you may not want to buy vintage or antique.

The fragrances and bath and body products I sell are are old and vintage, they are most likely not fresh as they once were and their scent most likely has changed over time, because of this, that I cannot guarantee that the fragrance still smells good to you.
