Vintage European mangle cloth linen table cloth runner or store sewing fabric blue orange and white stripes

This lovely textile is a European mangle cloth! GORGEOUS rare blue , orange and white stripes This cloth was used to hold the clothes while putting through the mangle ( wringer ) to dry before hanging! This cloth dates c 1920-1930's and is made of linen and some cotton. The ground tone has that lovely flax ecru tone. This textile has acquired a sheen and when these cloths are laundered , they have more of a washed linen look! This cloth is wonderfully versatile. The stripes run up each side and intersect on the ends ~I've used them as curtains, table cloths, and also for MANY sewing projects. They were actually one of the first vintage linen textiles that I started to sew with all of those years ago!! ~*~ Medium weight ~ lovely condition too! ~ ~~ I've had a stack of these in my stock for about 20 years and just waiting to get some time to put them online! MEASUREMENTS: This lovely fabric measures approximately 109 inches by 35 inches long.

CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. This textile has a musty smell from being stored for nearly 25 years! ~ it has an oily / musty smell that will wash out ! ~ There are no holes, but there are oil stains, dimed sized in a few places ~ it can be machine washed on warm with normal detergent and hung to dry ~*~
