Our scarves are handmade in Ghana, with 100% cotton, African print fabric that is also made in Ghana. They are also lined with black fleece to keep you warm when out in the elements. Colors include brown, orange and off white. We also have scarves made with cream fleece in our shop. View images for preview.
Scarves measure approximately 34" long and 19" wide. Face masks are made with 3 layers of 100% cotton fabric, include filter pockets and have elastic ear loops.
Our scarf sets are adorned with prints inspired my mud cloth. Mud cloth, also known as bògòlanfini or bogolan, is a handmade Malian cotton fabric traditionally dyed with fermented mud. Narrow strips of handwoven cotton are stitched together into a whole cloth, then painted with patterns and symbols using a variety of natural dyes, including river mud that has been aged up to one year. This set is not made with mud cloth but, their print is inspired by prints that can be found on mud cloth.
