Rare Vintage Thames Porcelain Lamp Made in Japan Hand Painted Rose store Bud

Absolutely stunning, hand painted, porcelain Thames table lamp!
This beauty was made in Japan, probably in the 1940s or 50s.
This lamp is still in extremely nice condition. The gold leafing may be slightly scuffed on the raised roses and I found 2 very small chips as shown in the photo.
The lamp works, but there is a store short in the switch so it does not stay on. The cord and switch were replaced at some point.
