The ribbon work accessory is made using hand dyed ribbon for the roses and buds in shades of plum purple with leaves made from imported French ombre ribbon in shades of green with plum accents. The Ribbonwork is accented with vintage stamens, peps, and hand made crystal twigs made with Swarovski crystals and sterling silver plated wire. It is embellished with more crystals and seed beads. The flowers, leaves, buds are made using traditional Ribbonwork techniques and are stitched and formed by hand. It is stitched to crinoline and backed with felt. It can be used as a hair accessory with the addition of a hair clip or metal hair comb,, as a corsage with the addition of a brooch pin back or as a wrist corsage with a ribbon added. It can also be sent out with a blank back with no hardware attached. It can be used to embellish a dress, jacket, a bridal sash or a pillow or other home décor projects.
