~Description~
We have made this journal from a natural, vegetable tanned, full grain leather. This leather comes to us in pristine condition and we put it through various dying and staining techniques to give it a distressed look. We finish the rustic look by leaving the natural edge of the hide on the wraparound flap, each one of these will be unique, some will have quite a straight edge, some will have a bit of a slant and some will be irregular. As it is the natural edge of the leather you might even find small scars, cuts or even holes on this edge. You can see in the images how much they can vary. This is the sort of journal that you can take into the outdoors without worrying too much about it. The wraparound cover encloses the paper and is held in place with thonging that we make from the same leather, this makes a handy pen loop inside the cover.

The ready-worn and well travelled look of this leather makes this a perfect journal for writing up your wild adventures and darkest secrets. Imagine your descendants stumbling across this tome in a dusty attic!

Approximately 250 pages (500 sides) of A4 sized, unlined, recycled, paper.
The pages in this book are hand bound using a strong waxed cord. No glue is used, so the spine of the book cannot be broken, our binding is store strong and permanent.

~Paper~
Our paper is 100% recycled and is a natural, off-white, oatmeal colour. It has a matt appearance, is slightly textured and it takes most fountain pens without 'bleeding'.
It's of archival quality which is great if you're planning on leaving your words for future generations!

~Personalisation~
We can add a personalised pen loop with up to four initials which slips onto the wrap cord on this journal, this is free of charge.
