Unique large beads make a wonderful unique necklace, reminiscent of ancient digs and far-off romantic places in Morroco and the Middle East. The last picture, from a book on African jewelry, shows the inspiration for the necklace.

The "stones" in the necklace are made of polymer clay; the terracotta poly-sided beads are actual terracotta. There are a few metal spacer beads and a lobster claw closure. The beads are strung on wire tiger tail.

My one-of-a-kind jewelry has been made using store non-toxic polymer clay. Polymer clay is a very durable art material and wonderful to work with. The designs on my jewelry are baked in and will not wear off.

Although this necklace looks heavy, it is lightweight.
