The Japanese phrase "kokoro no mama" is composed of the kanji 心 (read kokoro) meaning "heart", the possessive grammatical element の (read no) and 儘 (read mama) meaning "as it is; as one likes".

About The Art: The art is created on beautiful handmade paper that we purchase directly from the papermaker in Kochi Japan. This handmade paper has four deckled edges and is perfect for Western-style framing either with or without a mat.

Each work is individually brushed by Master Japanese Calligrapher Eri Takase at the time of your order and proudly bears her seal and signature. This is not a print but is handbrushed to match the sample as closely as possible. This is a personal work of art that is designed to last generations.
