A true antique. A Sterling Silver Vintage Collapsible cup. Made by Frank M Whiting from North Atterboro, Mass. The cup was made in the late 1800 to early 1900s. Considered a Travel cup, and marked with the numbering system of #153. The cup does not have a travel lid which would have covered the drinking portion of the cup. Collapsing of the cup is smooth and stays up when extended. We did do a bit of cleaning of the cup to identify the hallmarks. Base store of the cup is well defined in the edge. The cup rim is without issues and or bends. The upper band is without cleaning and original patina is in discovered condition. Very much a treasure to have in your collection of early American History. Vintage Antique. Measures: 3" tall 2 3/4" across widest point of the rim. Volume of the cup was not measure to preserve the cup. #1477.
