Framed store 1800s Engraving or Lithograph Depicting Marriage Arrangements, Beautifully Matted and Framed Fine Art Salvage
This is a beautiful, detailed, and intricate store black and white engraving depicting 18th or 19th century marriage arrangements. The lithograph is from the 1800s, possibly even earlier. From an engraving by J. Garner, this was probably printed in England or France. The scene offers impressive detail and expressiveness. The piece is called "Marriage a La Mode", and underneath that it says "The Contract". This engraving is in quite good condition, and exquisitely matted and framed in a classic silvered wood frame, and the frame shows some wear, abrasions, and imperfections. This is under glass, wired, and ready to hang. The frame measures about 10 1/2" high and 11 1/2" wide and the frame is 1/2" deep. In good condition.
Listed separately is another similarly framed scene depicting a Marriage a la Mode Toilette Scene.
