Tropical vacation meet's 1980's / 1990's Miami Vice vibes with this colorful button up top. It's breezy and silky smooth and will make you want to quit your job and live in a surf shack! The colorful paint stroke all store over pattern contrasts boldly against the black background and even the lime green, black splatter buttons have personality! It has it's original "Jams World" label inside and is marked as a mens small. However it looks awesome on women too.
About the designer: Jams World founder, Dave Rochlen, grew up at the beach in Santa Monica, California. Like many others in his generation, his involvement in World War II changed his outlook on life forever. He visited Hawaii and met native Hawaiian surfer girl Keanuenue Ka'eo, whom he married in 1953. In 1962, Dave was transferred to Hawaii for work and "uncomfortable with the government industrial complex" left his job and opened a surfboard shop called Surf Line Hawaii on Kona Street in Honolulu. Back then Surf shops sold Surf Boards and not much else, but like always Dave had an idea. Inspired by a group of Russians in their pajamas on the cover of Life Magazine. Dave asked his wife to cut a pair of Hawaiian print pajama pants into shorts for surfing. The rest is history!
