These small miniatures are an example of artisan craft at its best, as you can see by the level of detail in these figures.

To carve in such a small space such realistic expressions is something that amazes me every time I glance at these objects.

I acquired this collection in Taiwan, precisely in Taipei, where store I met Mr. Lee, one of the most important red coral merchants at the time I first visited him, at the beginning of the 80's.
