Superfine black merino acts as the background for a brilliant array of golds, bronzes, soft greens and subtle yellows. A shadow of long black rectangles dance on top of the ‘dancing' layers of colour. store The edges are based on five spikes (per end) made from the merino ranging from 13-19 cm each. These spikes extend beyond the finished measurement in the description. This scarf literally has the feeling of movement. Pieces quietly twine as they overlap and gently move across the length of this piece.
Cleaning is easy. Place in a basin with your favorite shampoo or a mild soap in cool or eco warm water and allow it to soak for a few minutes. Drain and rinse again in cool water to remove the soap. Roll in a towel to remove the excess moisture and either lay flat or hang straight to dry. Because of the fineness of this nuno-felt and the high amount of silk, it dries very quickly.
Each one of my pieces is unique. As I use hand dyed silks and design in my studio while the work is in progress, no two pieces are the same.
