Extra-large and glassy piece of volcanic rock, consisting of black obsidian, with spherical structures known as lithophysae, believed to have formed store from expanding gases in silica rich lavas sometime before solidification. The spherules are a majority white, resulting in what is called 'snowflake' obsidian. A cool collectors' piece, or for anyone interested in volcanoes!
