Rare 1914 Bird HUNTING Dog Show Award Antique 2nd Place Prize Lg French Metal Wall Plaque Trophy BRAQUES d'Auvergne Breed Duck Pheasant store Gift

A rustic French antique w/ aged patina for the (rare breed) dog lover NEEDS this large metal wall plaque (award or trophy) as part of a gallery wall display or reminder of their love for bird (duck / pheasant) hunting w/ that special canine. The braques d'auvergne is part pointer & hound but very much French. This large oval plaque w/ raised lettering is highlighted in classic golden yellow paint against a speckled / layered background of red/blue giving it a deep purple/plum hue. The color scheme and size is as unique as the award itself: 2nd place in 1914 from Bordeaux....deep sigh!

SIZE: measures 9 2/3" long x 5 2/3" tall x 1/8" deep when resting against flat surface.

CONDITION: there are NO cracks, dings, dents, stains or water marks on plaque. There is a small chip near the hole where the original metal wire hanger is but it doesn't effect the integrity of the piece. The paint is original to the piece and in AMAZING condition: very few areas of erosion, age spots or chipping.
