Vintage Paragon Fine China Cineraria Tea Cup & Saucer Set Double Warrant Back stamp Mark ~ c.1939-1949 Daisy/Floral. Very pretty set. No chips, cracks or crazing. Some wear from age.

Double Warrant- The double warrant mark was used 1939 – 1949. This tea/coffee cup set features two different Royal Warrant marks (which are a mark of recognition to individuals or companies who have supplied goods or services to the Royal family for at least five years.) "Paragon, By Appointment to HM the Queen & HM Queen Mary, Fine China, England Regd. Cineraria ". The two queens refer to the present day Queen Elizabeth II's Grandmother (Queen Mary) and her Mother (the Queen). The Royal Family regularly used Paragon china in their households. In April, 1933 Paragon was honored by being granted a Warrant of Appointment to her Majesty The Queen Mary. A further Warrant was granted by the Queen in 1938. Royal Warrants allow the company to use the “By Appointment” designation and display the relevant Royal Coat of Arms on its items".

What is vintage condition? All of my items are sold in used, pre-owned condition. Antique and vintage items may exhibit slight imperfections, such as soft wear, crazing, small manufacturing flaws, patina, oxidation or loss of gold gilt/gild as to be expected.
