Large Antique Rustic Primitive Chapati Shallow Wood Dough Bowl This is an early 1900s late 1800s piece out of an estate in Charleston. LOOK at the Patina and wear! It is fabulous and huge. Enhanced by generations of use, these hand-hewn wooden bowls were originally used to mix unleavened bread dough for family meals in Indias villages. Equipped with single or double handles, they handsomely serve appetizers to desserts. I have not polished or stained bowl and it remains in its pristine, weathered state.
