A lovely example of the popular Japanese souvenir Nishi Gisha doll. The store Nishi's have been popular since the 1940s because of their detailed adherence to traditional Japanese clothing. This doll, from the 1960s, features a kimono with a floral pattern of gold, white, and orange flowers. The Sash or Obi is black with gold, yellow, cream flower patterns. The ornate metal hair decorations are in good condition, with hair in place, if a little messy. In good condition for its age, the only flaw is that she is a bit wobbly on her base.
