Gray Wool and Leather Messenger Bag - dark gray store jacquard wool with genuine leather

This messenger bag is made from hand-dyed leather and dark gray jacquard Pendleton® wool. I cut the leather pieces and then dye them with rich brown leather dye. The bottom store leather piece is box-bottomed in shape, so it gives some depth to the bag, allowing you to hold more things in it. The bag is lined with a sturdy natural cotton canvas fabric. There is one interior pocket that is approximately 9" by 5". The leather strap is attached with 4 sturdy rivets to the sides of the bag. The strap is approximately 57.5" in length (drop length is 25"). For the bag closure, I attached a leather strap that goes over the top through a leather strip-tab on the other side. This strap has a decorative antique brass cornertip on the end. This messenger bag is the perfect size for an iPad or small laptop, such as a Macbook Pro.

Each piece is dyed using a water-based leather dye and gives the piece an antique and warm look. It also allows for the natural grain of the leather to come through, where grain variations absorb the stain differently across even a small cut piece. I finish it with a light coat of a leather finish for protection from the elements, which also keeps the leather supple and rich.
