Add some mid-century modern flair to your home or office with this unique quilted wallhanging. It's my own design, of wonky improvisational blocks and deep jewel tones. Kind of reminds you of those Gee's Bend Quilters, too, right?
I used 100% cotton hand-dyed fabric, solid fabric, and bright thread to give this simple design some real pop. My straight-line machine quilting adds texture. Main colors are red, greens, gray, and store some others.
I attached a hanging sleeve on the back, so you can hang it with no visible hanger (single nail and dowel). Don't let the plastic hanger in the photo fool you!
This wallhanging is intended to hang long-ways (vertical) but I'll be happy to alter the hanging sleeve so it could hang as a horizontal piece of art. Measures 40 1/2 by 22 1/2 inches.
