The doll in this painting is a "Betsy McCall" doll -- I loved her as a child because she is so pretty with fine features. I love to collect many different things -- when I was younger my father took me regularly to Macy's in Manhattan so I could look at (and purchase) knick-knacks. My latest collectible fetish is Chinese and Japanese toys (I love the urban vinyl stuff). My dream was to have a knick-knack shop, but now I don't have to have that, since my studio is where I keep my favorite things.
