Raw store Fordite Piece c2005

Ford Factory Fordite from around 2005 Beautiful layered and cured paint from the spray booth at the Ford store factory.

There are numerous flat colours and some pearl/metallic layers mainly in the usual car hues in this piece.

Perfect for either collectors or crafters of small pieces. Possibly a little thin for a ring, but perfect for pendants, earrings and other small projects.

It's a fairly hard material, but cuts and polishes easily. As it is automotive paint sanding to a high grit then polishing with car bodywork finishing pastes provides a lustrous glossy finish.

It is unusual to get the thicker pieces now as they are regularly harvested from the booths by resellers.
